HCG HUCOG is a hormone that aids in the proper development of an egg within a woman's ovary and promotes the egg's release during ovulation. It is utilized to induce ovulation and address infertility in women, as well as to boost sperm production in men. Additionally, HCG HUCOG is administered to young boys whose testicles have not descended into the scrotum as expected, a condition that may arise from a pituitary gland issue. HCG HUCOG might also be prescribed for other indications not mentioned in this medication guide.

HCG HUCOG is offered in injectable forms of 2000 IU, 5000 IU, and 10000 IU strength, with the preferred injection methods being either subcutaneous or intramuscular. The typically recommended dose for treating Cryptorchidism is 4000 IU, which should be given three times a week for a duration of three weeks. For Hypogonadotropic hypogonadism, the suggested dosage is HCG HUCOG 500–1000 IU, administered three times a week for three weeks. This dosage may be maintained but reduced to two times a week for an additional three weeks.

HCG HUCOG is not to be used by pregnant women or nursing mothers. It should also be avoided in cases of hypersensitivity, precocious puberty, and prostate cancer, as these conditions contraindicate the use of HCG HUCOG. Caution is advised against using this medication if there are existing liver, kidney, heart, or asthma disorders.

While taking HCG HUCOG, you may experience some common side effects, which can include mood alterations, tinnitus, allergic reactions, nausea, headaches, fluid retention, changes in weight, breast tenderness, and discomfort at the injection site. It’s important not to use FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone) and Ganirelix concurrently with this medication.
